View Full Version : Update error
Hello everyone, I am in Canada and I am using Quicken Cash Manager
2005. Release R1
I recently had to reinstall it, and thankfully kept up to date backups
on another driveso that all of my information and transactions are
still intact..
When I start quicken, I an getting prompted right away to do an
update. When I say OK, I get an immediate error saying "Not all of
the files needed to update quicken were found" Then I get a second
Quicken wondow that says "the update was not completed" Reason: An
error occured while loading update plugin.
The the program then shuts down completely. If I choose NO to the
updates when I launch the program, the program does work as normal and
loads properly. I just can't seem to upgrade any needed patches from
the original install program.
If anyone can think of anything I can do, it would be most
appreciated.

I have no idea what causes the messages you are receiving, and I
don't use any Canadian version of Quicken; but if that were
happening to me in the U.S., I would be looking at Intuit's web
site for the program update files to download to my pc (or in
the folder on my hard drive where I always keep them) and apply
the updates manually.
I should say though, that I always have some concern when I get
error messages and can not determine their true cause and assess
their significance; my approach above would just be a weak
workaround to the problem.
