I setup an RRSP account in Quicken. Within the account, I have mostly
stocks however some of them are US stocks while others are Canadian. My
account is Canadian and for some reason, all my stocks are reported in
Canadian $.

For instance, if I have 100 shares of stock "A" off the Nasdaq that is
currently trading at $1 US. My quicken account is showing the total value
as $100 CDN. I tried to change the currency of the stock but can not
because it is grey'ed out.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Did you set up Quicken to use multiple currencies? In Q05 go to help,
Click on Index and type in currencies. Than you will see "Setting up
Quicken to use multiple currencies".

Canadian Quicken automatically has multi-currency enabled.

The problem is that currency applies to an account, not a transaction.

Several workarounds have been discussed in this group, but the best, in my
opinion, is to set up two Quicken accounts, one US$ and one CA$.
