I am currently running a IBM Netfintiy 6000 with 4 Xeon processors @
700Mhz with 2Mb of cache, 4 Gb of ram and 3 18 Gb SCSI hard disks. When
the server boots I get the normal POST messages and beeps that I should
be hearing. Yet on the face of the server I get a light showing that
here is a hard disk error. All three SCSI disk are on the same
controller. Only the top most drive in the drive rack is shown to be
working correctly. The two drives below them are showing amber light
indicating faults. I was just wondering if the is normal for netfinity
server to behave like this until an OS is loaded on to the system.
