Just found a new wrinkle in Quicken's ways of forcing people to upgrade.
I have Quicken 2005 Deluxe ordered ( they finally offered it to me for $39
instead of screwing with their rebates ) so I ordered it yesterday.
I'm using Quicken Deluxe 2002 until Quicken Bandido arrives.
I had purchased Turbo Tax Deluxe 2005 at Best Buy and today I installed it
and went to import from Quicken.
WHOA!!!
It pops up an ad for Quicken 2005 and won't import from 2002!!!!
Usually when I buy software over the net, even if they are sending me a
disk, they let me download it once I've paid.
NOT QUICKEN.
You have to choose between getting a disk and downloading it but they are
the same price!! So I said well send a disk thinking I could go ahead and
download like usual. NOPE. Can't download the product you've paid for ...
didn't choose that option. Have to wait for disk.
Of course, when I installed Turbo Tax it offered to install Qucken 2005
Deluxe for $59 ... $20 more than I've already paid for it.
Grrrrrr.
