Hi folks,

Before I ask my questions just let me say that I've read the newsgroups
and I'm aware of the changes that are in 2005 that many folks are
unhappy with. That being said, I'm a Q2003 Premier user...if I decide
to upgrade to 2005:

1. Can I get the 2005 deluxe version? I looked on Quicken's web page
and couldn't find any information about this. I'm assuming the only
thing that would happen is that any features in 2003 Premier that
aren't supported in 2005 Deluxe would just not be availalbe. Does
anyone know if this is correct?

2. If I opt for 2005 Premier Home & Business is there a way to install
without the Business stuff? Someone I know purchased it and now
doesn't want it and can't return it, and is willing to sell it to me
cheap. Since I don't use the business features I don't want to waste
the space installing them if I don't have to.

Thanks,

Gary

I didn't see any options to disable features at install time.

I don't run a business either, and have found that it's possible to
hide most of the business-related features, though they do still
exist, however latent, in the installed files.

The only manifestation I can think of that would glare at you is the
existence of an empty "Business Center" entry in the task bar,
analogous to the "Cash Flow Center" and "Investing Center". I'm pretty
sure these empty entries can be hidden, but I'd have to check it again
to be sure.
