View Full Version : Ultra-slow HP Director driving me mad!

I've got a Officejet 6110 all-in-one, and I've install the latest "HP Full
Solution Software Driver", which includes the HP Director program.

The problem happens in Director when I choose any of the Settings menu
options related to scanning - for instance 'Settings | Scan Settings and
Preferences | Scan Picture Settings'. If I select it, there is a delay of
literally several minutes before the Scan Picture Settings window suddenly
appears. This is true of all the menu options below 'Scan Settings and
Preferences'.

Strangely, all the other Settings menu choices work fine - 'Copy Settings',
'Print Settings', etc.

It also seems to upset Omnipage 15, which scans and processes one document
OK, but then refuses to scan any more until you shut it down and restart it.
I think this might also be something to do with the HP drivers.

I've spent ages with HP Support to no avail - they keep telling me to
reinstall the software, but it makes no difference. Can anyone PLEASE
rescue me before I jump from a high building?

Thanks!

Steve
