I would like to save all the set-ups I have under Tools/Options, not
just the profile. Things like the Support File Search Path etc etc.
Where can I find where these options are saved to so I can copy the
file (or whatever) to a new computer without going through all the
re-entering of file paths etc.
regards
PeterH

In Options > Profiles choose Export and the profile will be saved as an
*.arg file. Save it to a backup or a 3-1/2 or whatever. You can then
easily migrate it to another system by importing it. Note that exporting a
profile also saves your menu and toolbar config so there are several other
files you must save for a successful migration.

Will that also keep the support file search paths as per my first email
above?

Forgot to mention that I searched the arg file and there was no mention
of the support file paths (under Tools/Options/Files). Which mnu or
whatever file will they be contained in for full migration.
thanks in advance

Are you sure? They are exported into the ARG file.

Search for:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\AutoCAD\Rxx.x\ACAD-x:xxx\Profiles\%profilename%\General

in the file.

(replace the appropriate parts before searching)

Exporting the profile as an arg will save the support file paths as defined
in the profile.
