View Full Version : Laptop DVD drive just failed
It's a nx9105 laptop with the Toshiba ODD R6252 drive. In the middle of
playing a DVD yesterday it ejected and has since refused to read or write to
any sort of disc. I've done a driver update, with no effect.
Unfortunately we're 12 days out of warranty.
Questions are
Does anyone know of 'known' defects and whether they can be repaired - or is
a complete drive replacement more likely?
Does anyone know the likely UK cost of repair / replacement ?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Cheers
