Hi

I was wondering if you can import invoices from a customer straight into
Quickbooks Pro, at the moment we get them faxed over and manually input
them.

Please if you have any information on specific programs that either
ourselves or our customer would need to have please give details

Thanks in Advance

I'm not sure why you'd be getting invoices from customers but the answer to
your question is no. Data entry is part of life but you can save yourself
time by setting up Items in a logical manner so that you don't have to do
much typing. A few keystrokes and liberal use of the Tab key gets me
through most bill entry in seconds.

Maybe something like this could help?
http://www.abbyy.com/formreader/

I've never used it, and I'm sure there are other OCR programs out
there too. I have heard via various Project Gutenberg sites that ABBYY
does very good OCR.

Your CUSTOMER details your invoices?

I'm confused as to what you want to do.

As to simplifying data entry, enter OCR (optical character recognition) into
google and you will find many programs that scan documents. My HP printer
has that function as well, and it works fairly accurately for document
entry.

For detailed entry into QB I suspect the learning curve on using the OCR
program, and the corrections to the scanning errors that will occur, will
take up more time than your current data entry procedures.
