Query the header block after update of detail block

hi
i m having a problem

my form contains header block which is a view and detail block is a
table.
header block shows some information of detail table....
now what i want is when i update the detail block , the information in
header should also get updated ... i.e. EXECUTE_Query in the header
part.
Is it Possible?
i wrote EXECUTE_Query statement in POST Update trigger but it dint
allow me
