Hello,

I recently installed Quicken 2005 Deluxe (fresh install) and am running into
problems with the "Net Worth" report.

Specifically, the Net Worth that is summarized below my "Cash Flow Center"
and "Investing Center" (left-hand column) shows the correct value. When I
run the "Report | Net Worth & Balances | Net Worth" report, the correct
value is shown there as well. So far, so good.

However, if I press the "Financial Overview" button and select the "Net
Worth" tab, the YTD values are off by a significant amount (lower by at
least 10%). The discrepancy appears to be isolated to the Investments
category, and more specifically, Roth IRA data.

Anyone know why this tab would show the incorrect sum? Is this a bug or
user error? Tech support told me to "Validate" and "Super Validate" my
data, which I did... and it didn't fix the discrepancy.

Thanks for your help,
kwc

Some more info --

It turns out that the culprits are bought mutual fund shares where I've
resolved a placeholder transaction... and show "N/A" in the Cash Amt column
as a result. For some reason these are the values that aren't being
included in the net worth total of the Financial Overview center.

Still begs the question -- why does this happen, and is there a fix?

Thanks!
kwc

kwc,
If you are going to use the phrase, begs the question,
you should know what it means.

Nice.... :-)

Does "raises the question" sound more appropriate?
