Hi all. I am just getting started using LDT '05.
I am importing polylines should have elevations. These are 2D polylines.
I am confused on how to label my polylines with the elevations(like
contours)These are contour lines that I imported from a GIS
program(ESRI ARCGis).
I am trying to just label the lines with the elevations that it came
with. (I can see in my workspace that elevations are with the lines).
I am looking in the "Harnessing Autodesk LandDesktop" book and it tells
me I need to convert these lines to 3D polylines and then make a NEW
contour of the topo that I have.
Does anyone have any ideas that might help me out?
Thanks

Make an LDT surface out of the contours you imported from the ESRI shape
file. After you make this surface, you can create and label new LDT
contours. Freeze or erase the contours you imported from the shape file.
Obviously, there is more to it than this if you do not know how to make
a surface, create contours, label contours, etc. in LDT. Check out the
tutorials if you need help in these areas.
