When Creating Items QB Pro Mac 5.0 suggests:
If the service is performed by a subcontractor, select the “This service is performed by a subcontractor” checkbox.

What is the purpose for the Subcontractor designation?

I have work for the same item - Maintenance that I some times perform
myself and sometimes performed by a subcontractor. Should I create 2
items, one for each?

Please explain/advise.
