Hi,
We have a wide deployment of Volo View Express
(2.01) in our departments which can read Autocad dwg 2000 format
files. For now, upgrading to Volo View 3 is not an option since many
of the customers who need the drawing files would not be willing to
upgrade.
So we need Mechanical Desktop to save in Autodesk DWG 2000 format. We
applied the file corruption patch from autodesk.com, instead of fixing
the problem, it completely disallows saving to 2000 DWG format.
Normally it seems to save it fine, and volo view express opens up a
blank file, sometimes with errors.
Is there any way I can get Mechanical Desktop (Inventor) 2004 to save
to the Mechanical Desktop 2000 DWG format? If not, are there other
applications that can reliably and responsibly convert the format
back?
