I noticed a scenario that's very useful but I'm puzzled as to whyit works. If I need to trim 3d lines at a specific coordinate point (station)I can do so by constructing and normal "line" across the 3dline at thatpoint. What puzzles me is the line is at elevation zero and the 3dline is at128.45.Evidently the trim characteristics protrude to infinity elevationwise??I do know that if I do a distance between a zero elevation line and a linethat's elevation 128.45 , then the distance will be at least 128.45 plus whateverextra diagonal.
Yes, that's how it works. Just be sure that your coordinate sytem is
correct when trimming.
It gets even better when Extending 3d lines or 3dpolys.
