Hi !I'm an AutoCAD 2000 newbie, and have run into a couple ofproblems with plotting images. I'd be really grateful forany advice.I have set up four views (Front, Top, Left and SEisometric) of my 3D design on the same screen using theViewports command in Model view (the first three are 3Dwireframe models, and the latter is a Gourad shaded view).1) I would like to print out these four views as theyappear on the screen onto the same sheet of paper. Is therean easy way of transferring all the Viewports and settingsinto Layout view for plotting; or is there a way to plotall viewports directly from Model View ?
You can only plot from the current vport in modelspace.
Go to a layout, create 4 vports, enter each vport in turn and recreate
the views just as you already have in mspace. Or, even quicker, in
mspace set one vport current in turn and save the current view as a
named View. In each layout vport, restore one of the named Views.
2) When I render my design in Model View, by attachingmaterials and changing the lighting, it looks great; butwhen I try to plot the rendered image or export it toanother application - eg Adobe Photoshop - by exporting as.bmp or simply cutting and pasting, I end up with a poorquality wireframe view instead of the rendered image. Isthere a way of printing and exporting photoreal renderedimages to other applications ?
Render to a file. Import the file in Photoshop. BMP is not a very good
choice of format - there are limitations on number of pixels and
number of colours. TGA and TIF are better.
Sorry for the delay - I've been away on holiday. :-)

Okay, now read the second part of the previous reply. :-)
