Any suggestions on a Webcam? I saw an inexpensive one, Logitech, and
the picture was very jerky. I thought the picture was supposed to be
smooth video on DSL, but it's not. Is that normal for all Webcams?

Just because you have a DSL connection DOES NOT mean you will see (or
transmit) video equivelant to that of which you're used to seeing from your
TV. If you believed otherwise, it's a myth. Webcams like the ones you
describe above are about the same quality as security cameras at the local
convience (sp?) store. If you seen them on that Police Videos show, you'd
see what I'm referring to.

Webcams just don't have the flexibility in quality that standard camcorders
do either.

Another thing to consider is how many tasks (even those in the background)
that your CPU is doing as well. If your CPU is busy will one task while
your cam is running, it MUST "balance" the system resources and allocate
them accordingly so that your cam can still run while you're busy working on
another task (such as reading email or newsgroup messages).

Hope this helps :-)

Cheers for now :-)

I have a logitech webcam and the picture quality is fine. I had to tweak it a
little but its fine. My big problem is not the cam itself but having a
continuous stream with a "dial-up"
