I have used theterm CAD CAD since the 70's. All I am saying is that I don't prefer todescribe 3D Modeling as just CAD. Anybody can go to a VoTech and learnAutocad and be abl to draw prints. Modeling is a different animal, likecreating complex parting line models etc. To me the description CADfalls short of giving the user, like yourself, credit for al that youdo. 3D Modeling is more in the Design field than just simple 2D Cad.Look at the header on my website and then read the descriptions in themenu to see what I do. http://www.microsystemsgeorgia.com/toc.htm Yes, I still use the term CAD CAM but it seems that there are betterdescriptions than simply lumping everything as just CAD. Far too manyusers get taken advantage of at work by getting paid to be a CAD guywhile doing much more complex work than CAD. What do "CAD guys" makethese days, $12.50 an hour? I think the modeling field should get morecredit than just CAD. Nothing more than that, how would you like to bepaid at work? As a CAD guy or for Design work?Michael

Always more good stuff to learn. I doubt that, at the wages
you get, I'd want to work for you though. Or even go into the field.
Did you need to finish HS to get the job? In the US?

BTW, Where are the pictures from?

Keep up the good information.

Don't flatter yourself, there is no offer coming your way. :) The object
of engineering is to keep things as simple as possible, you seem to
always complicate every issue. The complete opposite of how I work.
BTW, Where are the pictures from?

Did my disclaimer confuse you, sorry about that, here it is again.

Thanks for crossposting this all over the Internet for me. There are CAD
guys everywhere who are deserving a raise and Management all over
wishing to hold their costs down.
See how you are?
Have a great day Cliff!
Now you go back in the Bozo bin, at least you are improving, you made it
a week this time.

Always nice to hear from an actual Engineer.
How many holes & features can you just leave out?

BTW, I saw someone (you?) post that Silicone Rubber
or Latex molds are the best thing to use for slip casting
clay parts.

What about other materials, like Plaster? No good, eh?
Why? I'd think you could apply a heavy coating of paint or
wax or something to them first, right? That would keep
the plaster from getting damp, right?

That's good.
As long as they are not actual parts belonging
to actual customers made to actual designs (or
actually made), but just pictures of stuff from somewhere.
Use Google much to find such?

How long have you been an advertising professional?
