I am having serious trouble with a series of large(c.23mb) 32bit TIFF filesthat originally came from a FinePixS2 Pro digital camera. They displayperfectly in the Windows Picture and Fax viewer, and also print superbly fromthis programme, both in colour and B+W (using my Canon S800 set to monochrome-Ihave not yet been able to greyscale the picture). But the Picture and FaxViewer tells me it is a Corel Paint 7.0 image, and that it was created on aFinePixS2Pro digital camera. It is 3024x2016. But... if I use Corel Paint 7.0to open it, it looks horrible, with a grainy texture, and distortedcolours(very prominent greens and reds. But this is a vital series of photos, and I really need to use them. I can'tunderstand why the images work perfectly from Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, and badly from everything else-and of course, I can't edit them from thisprogramme.Have I hit a specialised form of TIFF that needs special filters? Also, why does Windows say they are Corel Paint 7.0 images, and not TIFF's? Itis not by any chance picking up on the fact that I have Corel Paint 7.0 on thismachine? Have Incidentally, I believe the photographer uses a Mac.I'd be most grateful for any help!

Try right-clicking the image when you see the file listed in
windows-explorer then select "Open with...".
Now chose your usual image processing program, check "always open with
this application".

Now your association between TIFF and that application should be
repaired.
