Hello all,
I wanna make a blue sheet with jpg on it.
i am using corel photopaint 10 and Photoshop6 for the first time and I
want to cut out a specific part of a jpg. anything else of the jpg -
excluding the specific part - should be transparent so that i can
insert it into a word document in a good looking manner.
any help would be appreciated
Thanks

JPG has no transparent option.
You can not make part of a JPG image transparent.
Either use PNG and alpha transparency or use GIF (but accept to reduce
your image to 256 colors).
When using word, why don't you create another image that contains only
the background of the page and stack (lowest first) page background,
JPG, "pseudo background image", text to create the impression of a
transparent area without acually having any transparency?
Michael
