I've been using CD8 in WinMe without problem until a few weeks ago. I
now find that when trying to save some .cdr files, the program shuts
down, losing the data. It has happened to newly created files, and
existing files that until recently have given no trouble.

I've tried to relate it to use of particular fonts or graphics, and to
file size, but there's no pattern there. I've recently installed a new
HD, and reinstalled all my progs, together with the latest updates,
patches etc., and yet it still happens. (On the old HD, the computer
locked up and had to be restarted, but now, I can recover from the
"blue screen", with just CDraw shutting).

No other programs have shown any problem in saving data.

I now wonder if the installation of another program could have
affected Cdraw. Is this possible? The only recent additions have been
PSP7, Roxio CD Creator 6, and upgrading Norton Internet Security to
2003 version.

Help!!!!

when starting CD8 press and hold F8 till it asks to reset back to your
factory defaults. say yes and it's should work.

Thanks, but been there, done that!

I still haven't solved the problem, but I've resolved the situation -
by installing CDraw9!

Cheers
