reloading AI file into CD7

I have just created a page of graphics in Corel Draw 7.
The page contains graphics I converted with OCR Trace, some words and
shapes.
I saved the page then I saved it as an AI file (illustrator)

When I opened the file in CD7 to check it was all there it opens alright-
everthing is there but it is not on the page. Everything is in its order
just not on the page. This AI file is going to a film house and I dont know
how it will open for them. Any ideas.
