Hi,
I have a doubt about classifying a file in EIF ir ILF. I have a
transaction in mainframe that updates a DB2 database, when I sell a
stock. This application is not maintained by my team.
My application call this transaction, using Microsoft COMTI to sell
the stock. In this case, the Stock Sell is an EIF or ILF to my
application?
I agree that the mainframe transaction is outside my boundary, so
it will be an EIF. But in other hand, I maintain the data on DB2, by
calling the mainframe transaction from my application, filling all the
necessary data. So it could be an ILF.
Which one is the correct?
Thanks
Marcelo
If you have a transaction in your application that maintains the data (as
far as its user is concerned), I would have thought that, ignoring how it is
implemented, you have an EI and an ILF. Remember that you are looking at
what is implemented, not how.
