The key, I believe, is that the web site must also feature the product in
question for download in addition to the code. Under the GPL, the source
code must be available -- if not included with the release, then the release
must include clear notice that the source is available upon request.
Otherwise, any derivative work released is a copyright violation and is
judiciable (meaning you could be sued if the copyright holder so chooses).
