Dan,
According to Microsoft EULAs, an OEM machine comes with one copy a
Microsoft OS that cannot be transferred to another machine. You can sell
the machine with the OS (the actual copy, not merely the same version of
OS) that came on it. You cannot take a Windows install disk from some
other machine and install that OS on a different used machine however.
OEM copies of the OS are not transferable from one machine to another.
Your options are:
+Purchase a retail copy of the OS and install it on the machine
+Join the MS System Builders program, which enables you to purchase
lower-cost copies of MS OSs for installation on new machines. This, in
effect, makes you an OEM and allows you to install new OEM software on
computers. (See www.microsoft.com/oem)
