installed on my Notebook computer.

We are buying an new iMAC for my wife.

Can I install my Office product on her computer legally.

Probably not, but if there is only one person using Office at any given time
then you might be fogiven for doing it.

Cheers,
Tom

I don't use MS Office myself, but I would think this question's
answer would be somewhere in the license agreement that pops up before
anything actually gets installed.

Some MS apps (see the EULA) can be installed on two machines--a desktop
computer used by the purchaser and a notebook computer used by the same
person. This is called "portable use rights."

The brief on "Application Home and Portable Use Rights (Secondary Use
Rights)" at http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/resources/volbrief.asp
outlines this. The part you're interested is somewhat hidden in this
document (typical of MS licensing briefs), but the second paragraph says
(I've edited it for length and clarity) "Portable-Use continues to be
available for" ... "Microsoft Office"..."and all individual applications
within the Office suite."

You'll have to decide whether your use meets the terms of the EULA. I'd
say if these are two machines used by two different people, it does not.
