Hi everybody!
I intend to purchase a copy of the MS Office XP Developer package.
Sure enough, I'll be glad if I don't have to pay USD 1,000 for it.
A research on eBay brought up many interesting offers.
My question is:
Which conditions have to be fulfilled to make the offered version
legal? Which components _must_ be sold? I've seen many auctions with
just the original CD's and the License Keys, claiming that the offered
CD's have not been registered or activated.
Is that enough or do I need more stuff to prove the legality of the
product. Like the certificate of authenticity?
Who knows which components are essential?
Many thanks in advance for your help,
Marco Corani

I'm not sure there is a certificate of authenticity with Office. With
Windows, it's attached to the PC.
For Office, an original CD (with the full-cover hologram) and a valid
license key should be a legal copy. In theory, these products can be
sold, but they must include all the docs, licenses and disks that the
original purchaser purchased. You should also get a receipt, showing who
you bought it from, what they sold you, etc.
