Well, that quote I don't remember, but it doesn't seem TOO far over the line
so that wouldn't have 'stuck' in my mind as well. You do state "All I'm
saying is that there is a certain code of conduct that a representative of a
employer shows towards their customers. " I can agree with that , Bert. I
too work for a MAJOR MAJOR (top 10, used to be top 5 but we slipped!)
Fortune 500 company and deal with customers/vendors as part of my job, and I
can certainly agree with your sentiments just quoted. Ok - peace.

Bert said "...not make wise-ass remarks as he was known to do. " Dave said "Well stated Bert !" I say, no, that is NOT well stated. I do NOT remember Bruce EVER making wise-ass remarks. I do agree that he should ignore people and not make so-called "wise-ass remarks" IF INDEED he ever did, but I remember him always being polite. Bert, I don't care to make a mountain out of a molehill (maybe I already did), but I can't let someone's reputation become sullied. Do you have
a reference where he made a "wise-ass" remark that we can pull from the Google archives? -- Regards - - Andrew Here's one... "As a customer, you can speculate all day but that does not make it the truth". I don't know where you work, and frankly, it's none
of my business. I can say this... I work for a MAJOR fortune 500 company, and have been working for them for 19 years. Although what Bruce said in this post certainly isn't the worst thing in the world, had I said that to one
of MY customers, I'd be in a fight to save my job. There were several other posts by Bruce that were much worse, as this one was mild in comparison to others. However, I don't know if Google even searches back far enough, as I can only find 1 or 2 TOTAL posts made by Bruce, and we all know, he contributed much more than that. Hey, I'm not going to get into a pissing contest with the Bruce fans out there. All I'm saying is that there is a certain code of conduct that a representative of a employer shows towards their customers. Bruce needed help in that arena, period. -----Original Message----- From: Lee, Bruce [mailto:Bruce_Lee@intuit.com] Sent: Monday, January 10, 2000 2:18 PM To: 'Jon Reinhardt' Subject: RE: Quote Downloads Quicken QA is not seeing problems with all mutual funds (I just
