Yes, absolutely. There are lots of clients, two good ones are Wincvs
http://www.wincvs.org/ and TortoiseCVS http://www.tortoisecvs.org/

If you need a server then check out CVSNT - http://www.cvsnt.org/

can we run CVS server on windows as well. as far as I heard from the website
you refered, this is only winClient....not as Server? I think we have
windows NT Server where I want to run the CVS but not sure if it is
possible.

Thanks

CVSNT is a cvs server, I run it on our Win2k server box at work. All
the standard cvs features are there, plus a few extra features that the
original cvs doesn't have yet.

It's very nice because you can use the domain as the authentication
method. So you don't need to setup any more usernames/passwords or do
any logins, it just uses the username/password you are logged into the
domain as.

It is always better to start a server under Unix/Linux, however,
establishing a CVS server on windows is possible through CVSNT.

In my opinion, CVSNT is both a server and a client. but you may prefer
wincvs as client. --- you can start cvs server on most platforms and use
cvs client on most platforms.

Yes. Cygwin (www.cygwin.com) provides a good implementation of
standard cvs. others have mentioned some GUI front-ends for cvs, but
the best front-end is Gnu Emacs.
Or only on Unix/linux?

It is best to run the server on a Unix-like machine; the WinNT server
is not "standardized".
