I have used Rational ClearCase Tools in the past as a Version Control Tool.
Now I moved to a different company where they have Visual SourceSafe. What
are the advantages of ClearCase Tool Over the SourceSafe? Just curious and
to compare...

Thanks
Nimmy

: Process control, flexible reports, access to metadata, better bug support,
: better database management tools (analysis & repair), better branch/merge
: paradigm, flexible ability to support your development process (such as
parallel
: development, concurrent development). Good interface for other tools such
as
: change tracking. That's just off the top of my head. Someone else might be

:
: I've worked with SourceSafe for a number of years. Definitely not an
enterprise
: class tool. Look at the list of outstanding bugs on the Microsoft site,
then at
: the Best Practices page for VSS. It'll make the hair stand up on the back
of
: your neck.

There is NO comparison. It is simply a waste of time and money!!
