View Full Version : Application Error
Call me old fashioned but I'm running Veritas BackUP Exec 7.0 on a
Windows NT 4 SBS server.
Recently I tried to open Backup Exec and I get the following windows
NT Dr Watson error:
'An application error has occurred
and an application error log is being generated
bkupexec.exe
Exception: access violation(0xc0000005),Address: 0x02a01bf6'
Is there anyone out there that can help point me in the right
direction, this must a small bug that a patch or a service pack may
well cure...
Veritas, don't support anything under V8.0 on the phone or by email,
so I was put on to sales to upgrade I could only upgrade to V9.0 - but
that doesn't work on my Windows NT 4.0 system.!
The Microsoft Support website has some reference to the above error,
but only to Microsoft products !
Once again, Is there anyone there that can help point me in the right
direction, this must a small bug that a patch or a service pack may
well cure.
Yours faithfully
Where does one get the a new versions of the DLLs from ? and where do
you replace the old ones?

You should try it from some other machine where it works, or else try
reinstalling. I believe it is because of corrupted DLLs, because of usage
over a period of time. Might be something different, but atleast many times
i have faced it, it solved that way, unless it was a code problem really.
