Hello there,
I have a VB 6 application and tried to set it up as an NT service on
my local Windows XP. When I tried to install the NT service using
-install, I got the error message saying "Simple Service failed to
install".
When I looked at Simple Service in Control Panel, it has path as
"X:\Microsoft Visual Studio\VB98\vb6.exe", "Startup type" is
"Automatic", no dependency. I tried to "start" this service with
"Local System Account" or "This Account" with my own logon/password.
Howerver, it kept getting "Could not start Simple Service service on
local computer. Error 1053: The service did not respond to the Start
or control request in a timely fashion."
Any suggestions/help are greatly appreciated.
James
