View Full Version : limiting which accounts appear in Quicken budgets

Hey folks -
I'm using Quicken 2001 Deluxe, in which I track accounts denominated
in both US and Canadian dollars. What I want to do is create two
different budgets, one that only includes amounts from the US dollar
accounts, and another that only includes amounts from the $Cdn
accounts. But the default budget action seems to be to include all
the accounts, and it applies the currency exchange rate to the
amounts. I don't want this - I don't want to know what I spent in one
currency in terms of the other. And even if I set the exchange rate
to 1.0, the amounts from the different accounts are all intermingled
in the budget figures.
Is there a way to do what I want in Quicken other than separating my
accounts into two different data files by currency? And if not
Quicken, what about Microsoft Money?
TIA -
