Looking for Great Plains project manager for 7 months contract to
manage the project implementing a new financial and statistical
management system. This is part of the overall initiative to implement
a new enterprise wide information system - integrated management
systems

Reporting to the director, the PM will plan, organize and monitor the
work of the team, prepare and maintain a detailed project plan,
prepare weekly status reports and issue reports identifying ongoing
and projected risks and contigencies. a key function will be to manage
the vendor process and interact with the users.

Summary of deliverables

leads and direct a multi disciplinary team Managing a day to day
project planning through the use of project management methodologies,
techniques and tools
management and control of application development
responsible for direct vendor management and control
Develop and manage the change management and control process
maintain and develop communications on the status of the project
work with vendor and user groups to ensure a successful knowledge
transfer occurs with technical and business users

Required skills:-

5-10 yrs of project management experience
verifiable experience in large multi site implementation
extensive knowledge of financial application systems (specifically GL,
AP, Material management)


The following could be considered major assets

Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Great Plains financial
package solutions would be a definite asset
knowledge of and experience with MIS reporting guidelines would be an
asset
previous health related and/or government experience
knowledge of long term care and community health issues
