I went to print from my NT Workstation to an HP Photosmart 1215 and
received an error message stating that certain printer files had been
corrupted and the communication link between my PC and the printer
failed. I went to add printer to reinstall the software and it will
not let me. It says that the server is unavailable. When I try to
start setup from the Run option I get as far as choosing a port, it
then tells me that I have no ports. I clicked on the control panel
and checked out my ports and it says I have COM1 and COM2 although
neither of these is registering during the installation process. Any
idea what I can do about this? Our tech support people are not good
at returning phone calls. Thanks.
