View Full Version : Oracle Installer for 9i Client
Having some mixed luck with creating a scripted installer for the
Oracle 9i Administrator Client. I've used the supplied response file
template for an Admin install, and it works great except for one
single prompt. Every single time the installer runs it pops open a
prompt for "oracle services for microsoft transaction server" so that
I can accept or change the HTTP Port of 2030. I always want to accept
this default value but cannot find a way to avoid this prompt.
Otherwise the script is completely automated. This script is intended
for use by our help desk, which requires that scripted installs are
completely hands-off yet runs in the foreground to let them know when
the installation is complete (otherwise they find a way to get it
wrong... a discussion for another time).
Anyone have any idea how to eliminate this prompt? The best I can
find is a variable in a 10g response file that looks like
"s_recodHTTPPort=2030" but I can't make that work in my 9i response
file. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
