I refinanced my mortgage several months ago, and set up a new quicken loan
account. But it is still recording the payment as from my investment
account, which is what I used to do, instead of from my checking account. I
can't figure out how to change this.

Thanks in advance....

Need more info. What version of Quicken? How did you "set up a
new quicken loan account"? Did you use the loan wizard
(Property&Loan > Loans > New)?
But it is still recording the payment as from my investment account, which is what I used to do,
instead of from my checking account. I can't figure out how to change
this.

If you used the loan wizard to setup the loan, you would have
been given the opportunity to "Edit Loan Payment" near the end
of the process, and in that dialog box you would have had the
opportunity to click "Payment Method", select "Scheduled
Transaction", and enter the "Account to Pay From".

If you did not specify the account when you setup the loan, you
can get to the same "Edit Loan Payment" dialog by

Property&Loan > Loans > (select loan if necessary) > Edit
Payment

then click "Payment Method".

(I use Q2002 deluxe for Windows, US).
