Hello All,

I have an hp precision 410 WS that does not boot. I hate to just toss
it because it has dual p3 500mhz cpu, 1 GB RAM, and decent scsi
drives.

I think I crapped it when I tried to plug in an unknown scsi drive
last year. It stopped working just after that.

I bought and installed a new MoBo and just one cpu at a time and one
ram stick at a time to see if it would beep. Nothing except spinning
fans and green leds.

I then added the video card and known good scsi drives. Nothing more.

Jumpers match the old MoBo and make sense according to hp's spec
sheet.

My latest guess is the power supply is somehow gone.

With it connected to the MoBo and plugged in, the fans spin (ps and
case), the green MoBo leds are on. I can measure +5 on the red, +12 on
the yellow.

But I don't know the rest of the wire colors. Hp spec sheets are no
help. My diagnostic tools are limited to a volt meter and a hammer.

There is a gray wire opposite pin 1 that looks like it is a power good
signal.

Any suggestions. Are there fuses or something hidden?. Should I buy a
used PS for $25 and hope this fixes things?

I hate to just toss this WS. It is (was) a great test machine.

Thanks for any help,
Barry.
