Hi everybody
I found last post dated on may 2004 with the same title and problem
description as mine problem below. Becouse I could not add answer I start
new thread with some solution to this problem.
So, If you have HP omnibook Xe3 and it won't start. Whenever you try to turn
your computer and the only thing it does is fun noise for few second, try
this: (I can not explain why it works but it worked for my so I hope it my
be useful for anybody else)
Trun the AC power supply (I had battery turned as well)
press the gray button (over WWW short-cut button) - this is screen lock
button and then trun the computer on - after few second relase the button
and from now everything schould work. I found this just few seconds before
writing this mail so I do not know it will work tomorrow - but im might be
ocasion to make backup for your files without need to open notebook and
take the HDD out.
Please mail me if this solution help you - I am interested hom many HP users
have similar problem.
