OOoops!
My friend asked me to have a look at his laptop (pavilion ze5600)
because he had a problem with the hard drive being detected incorrectly.
I was chaning the settings in the bios when it asked me for a password,
which of course, it not being mine, i didnt know. I turned it off until
i could ask him but he didnt know it had one! have i accidentally turned
it on? how do i turn it off? i cant even get in the bios!
ive done some googling and it says im gonna need a new motherboard!
heeelppp!!!
i tried the cmos battery but it doesnt reset it :(
it doesnt have a floppy drive either so i cant boot to a recovery disk.
would that work anyway? i think the password comes up before any booting
is done.
Thanks!
Andrew
