Hello one and all - I would very much appreciate some help here as the
information that I have had thus far has been conflicting.

I have an NX9105 notebook and I would like to be able to power it whilst
I am travelling. The challenge that I am having is that I can find no
definitive answer as to what specification I need.

For example, on the HP site, I am told there are two normal AC power
units for this notebook - one provides 18.5 volts and 90 watts and the
other provides 19 volts and 120 watts.

The unit that came with the notebook is the 90 watt one (SPS-370497-001).

So when it comes to standard AC power sources, I find I am already
confused.

When I then start to look for what I am really wanting, a universal AC
and DC power source so that I can carry one set of gizmos for all my
power needs, rather than one for AC and one for DC supplies, I become
totally befuddled!!!

Do I look for an output of 18.5 volts or 19 volts?

The Universal Unit that I have been looking at is the Kensington 33173
http://www.kensington.com/html/5406.html and that seems to fit the job
but Kensington say that it wont do! This is complicated by the fact that
the NX9105 was first sold by HP with the 120 watt AC power unit and later
changed to the rerated one for 90 watts. If that is the case, then the
Kensington would not be able to replace the 120 watt HP power source but
it can replace the 90 watt one.

By now, you are all probably as confused as I am but if there is anyone
out there using an NX91xx and who can tell me what the actual
possibilities are rather than the theoretical ones, I will be very
grateful.

Many thanks for reading this far.

Pete
