I just installed a 2355 to replace a dead 2110 ink jet printer.

The ink cartdriges (hp94 & HP97) appear to be about a third smaller than the
cartridges in the 2110.
Can they be refilled? If so, which ink should I use?

Your 2110 took 56 (19 ml) 57 (17ml) and optional 58 (17ml) for photos.

Your new 2355 takes 94 (11ml) 94 (7 ml) or for $10 more get the 97
(14ml ) and optional 99 (13 ml) for photos.

Your printer takes HP second generation of ink cartridges which give
you precise placement of high-quality ink on the right surface. HP
co-designs ink with the print head and the paper . Me personally do not
agree with "Re-Fills". Refilled cartridges fail as much as 14 times
more frequently than original cartridges. (Leaks can damage printers
and HP will not cover repairs related to non-HP products, leading to
more costs.) Refilled cartridge failure rate: 5.9% to 9.7%* In addition
to that, HP ink cartridges have the printhead built on the cartridge so
when you change your ink, you are changing the printhead too. The
second gen inks 96,97,99 ect have duel print heads so the speeds are
faster.
