Hi,

I own a school of music and I have different hourly rates for all my
students. So I set up price levels and everything is fine and dandy.
Except, that I also sell books. When I indicate that I'm selling this book
to that student it also applies the price levels to the book. Is there
anyway I can have price levels only apply to the actual teaching rates and
nothing else?

Thanks,

Gaurav

Oh yah... The price level function is minimally useful. The discount level
has to be a percentage... can't be a specific amount like $10 off.... and
applies to ALL items ... can't differentiate between materials and service.

yah it does, very much so...

I fiddled with Accounting Basic 2000 once. And it allows you to have 5
price levels. When I add a customer, I can choose between level 1 - 5.

Now when i add a product, under price, there were five fields for those at
each level.

NOTE TO PEOPLE AT QUICKBOOKS: Setting up price levels is not as simple as
giving everyone 10% off of everything. What if I want 5%,3%, and 2% on this
product and 20%, 10%, and 5% on that product. You don't allow for that and
as Nukie Poo said, that sucks.
