View Full Version : install older scanner (4100c) on windows XP
I know there are no XP drivers for this scanner. I searched usenet and
found a workaround using win2000 drivers + a small patch. What I didn't
find was the exact installation order.
1. Do I install win2000 drivers/software (24mb)
2. Run the patch (600kb)
3. Reboot ? (can't hurt I guess)
4. Plug in the scanner
All works well ?
So I won't need the original CD at all ?
Do I lose the functionality of the front buttons (they required a small
program to run at startup in win98) ?
TIA for any help.
