View Full Version : Payment Receipt
Our company issues payment receipts to our clients.
We post payment directly in Quickbooks' Customer-> Receive payment, but
there is no utility to print the transaction individually. After posting
the payment, we write payment receipt using MS Word. It there a way to make
a print after every posting of payment?

I use SnagIt from www.techsmith.com for this sort of thing. With SnagIt, you
can press the PrtrScn key (or another key or your choice) and the screen or
part of it will be sent to your printer. It has a lot of other features
also. About $35 and well worth it.

If you are using microsoft XP, you can use the print screen function
( next to scroll lock on most keyboards), then open word and paste, it
is just a gif but is quick, easy and free.

That works in all versions of Windows, and with a number of programs other than Word such as Word Perfect, Word Pad, Works, Paint. It's not actually a GIF, but who cares?

You can print out a receipt right from the QB program for that payment
you just recorded under the Receive Payments function. The trick is
to first enter the payment and record it. Then, run a transaction
report for that customer (such as the one found under
Reports/Customers & Receivables/Transaction List by Customer. Find the
payment you just recorded (it will be listed as a "Payment")and double
click on it. This brings up the original Customer Payment screen. Now
click the History button at the very top of the screen. It brings up
another screen that shows all the info that the payment contained.
Click the Print button that is off to the right side on that screen
and it will print it out for you.
