I have this nice, refurbished PIII which
came with an Aural Vortex 3D (8820 chipset)
PCI sound card. After an extensive search for
a driver to run this card, I came up empty!
the sites ftp.aureal.com and
www.vortexofsound.com are both gone.
The only driver I found at drivers.com seems
to be a DOS only thing. It is not recognized
by Win98...
I would hate to throw away this perfectly good
little soundcard. Could somebody direct me
to a web site or ftp site that might have these
drivers?
Thanks in advance for any help...

I have the "Monster Sound MX300" Installation CD Version1.02.
Unfortunately, it contains over 60MB of data so it is more than I can
email. I don't know if you can use it under the newer MS Windows
operating systems; the CD contains driver directories for "Win9x" and
"WinNT". Let me know if you cannot obtain it locally and we will see
if there is some way of getting it to you.
The "Reply To" address in this post is invalid so, if I can help,
please email to david at segall dot net.

Thanks David, for your kind offer, but I finally
located something on driverguide.com. Found three
different zip archives with various up-to-date
drivers so I think I'll be able to manage
with that.
Much appreciated though!
