My computer loads up, then if i click on anything at all it doesant
load for ages!!! for example windows xp home edition will have loaded,
then ill click on internet explorer or anything else and will have to
wait a long time for a particular program to load, once the program is
loaded there are no more problems.

I have a small amount of icons load in the taskbar,

I have many shortcuts on the desktop although I have my kazaa shared
folder on there? I have removed the trojan horse boot and startup
viruses, defragged the harddrive, scan the hard drive, cleaned the
registry.

Ive looked at the temp of the cpu in the bios, on idle it was 47
degrees centigrade, the fan is quite dusty. The system specs are an
athlon xp 2700, nvidia nforce II motherboard with onboard sound and
onboard geforce 4 mx 440 128mb, 333mb system ram ( 128mb taken by
onboard graphics ).

what do u think it is? its driving me mad!!!!!

If you are saying the first time you load things after a boot is slow, that is
normal. There was a long thread about this over in the cable modem NG last
week. XP isn't really done booting when it pops up the desktop. It just gets to
a place where Bill Gates thinks you will want to start using it but there are
still lots of things to load before it is done. You must be trying to load
something Bill didn't think you would be using right away.

no this is not normal! I must stress that it takes a long long long
long time , sometimes over 20 minutes after windows has loaded and
task programs have loaded to do anything at all. I have very little
running on my taskbar and very little shortcuts!!!
