hi,

a friends monitor has suddenly stopped working with his pc. he was getting a
messafe saying device input of of bounds (i think) but now gets just a black
screen. the monitor does work with his laptop. the problem seems to have
arisen since he was messing with the settings on the monitor. anyone know
what hes done?

He has selected o refresh rate that his monitor cannot handle. You do not
say what OS! If he can start in Safe Mode he can select 60Hz or Default
refresh. If you install the .inf file for the monitor this cannot happen, as
windows then knows what refresh rates are OK.
