View Full Version : Problems with laptop keybaords and wireless keyboards

I have a client with a Toshiba Satellite Notebook computer to which I
have attached a Wireless Keyboard. Keystrokes on either keyboard are
recognised, but the wireless keyboard suffers from missed keystrokes,
especially if Shift or Control keys are involved.
Another client has a Sony notebook, and suffers from the inverse
problem - the wireless keyboard works fine but the internal keyboard
loses keystrokes.
It looks as if there is a generic problem when two keyboards are
involved, especially if one is wireless. Does anyone have experience
of this? Is wireless a waste of time in this case?

Frank,
I am writing this message on a Toshiba Satellite (2 GHz Pentium 4M) with a
Logitech Wireless MX Duo (keyboard and mouse) attached. I don't have any
problems with dropped keystrokes on the wireless keyboard or the built-in
one. I assume that you are using only one keyboard at a time, right? I
don't know what would happen if you tried to use both keyboards
simultaneously, but there's no reason to do that.
Other than making sure that you have the latest drivers installed, I don't
know what else to suggest.
Regards,
Eric
