This is the first Xeon I have built so bear with me.
Just picked one up with a 2.8 xeon processor and 2 gig memory. Looking for
a case for it. Have an antec full tower that it fits in but the heatsink
and mounting hardware for it use 4 bolts that are supposed to go thru the
MB to the chassis where they attach to 4 standoffs. The Antec mounting
surface has no provisions for this w/o drilling and tapping the 4 holes. I
was considering putting 4 nuts on the back of the MB to attach the base but
am not sure if thats a good or bad idea.
Also a power supply recommendation. It has 24 pin and 8 pin connectors.
How do I find a case that will fit w/o spending $400 on an Intel one.
Thanks
